We’re so excited for this weekend’s upcoming estate sale of Robert G. Metzner. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: often times the only thing more wondrous than the treasures we find in these estates, is their original possessor. Robert was an inventor and engineer who retired and became a sculptor. We have the unique privilege of bringing his incredible artwork to market for the first time.
Working in the Estate Sale industry in Los Angeles, it’s admittedly not unusual to find oneself learning about the life of a ridiculously inspiring client, but in the case of Betsy Drake—this lady has us swooning! Drake was a Hollywood actress whose real life was no less dramatic than her feature films and whose real persona far exceeded those of her silver screen characters in both depth and charm. Her Estate Sale was tremendous. Not only was the house full every day, but so many people came for her: to pay respect, to share memories and stories, or because they were admirers.
